SOPHOSIS — TERMS, DISCLAIMERS AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Please read carefully before listening. By purchasing, downloading, streaming, or listening to these recordings, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not purchase, do not listen.

1. Nature of the Work

The recordings comprising Sophosis: Solve et Coagula (the ‘Audio Product’) are an immersive experiential and artistic work, produced by Anna Grear (a qualified, insured hypnotherapist) and Ralph Cree (composer and sound designer). The work draws on hypnotherapeutic technique as a craft framework for experiential and spiritual exploration.

The Audio Product is not:

  • a medical treatment, clinical hypnotherapy session, or psychological therapy
  • designed to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any health condition
  • a substitute for professional mental health support

You acknowledge that the recordings are designed to induce deep relaxation and non-ordinary states of consciousness, and that this may produce unfamiliar emotional, somatic, or psychological sensations.

2. Health and Safety

Driving and machinery: Do not listen while driving, cycling, operating machinery, or doing anything requiring your full waking attention. Listen only when you are able to sit or lie down safely.

Pre-existing conditions: If you have a history of severe anxiety, panic disorder, clinical depression, psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, epilepsy, seizures, or significant cardiovascular conditions, consult a qualified medical professional before listening.

If you feel overwhelmed: Stop listening. Open your eyes, look around the space you are in, and name objects calmly aloud. You are always able to return to ordinary waking awareness in this way.

3. Assumption of Risk and Listener Responsibility

By listening, you voluntarily assume the risks associated with entering expanded or non-ordinary states of consciousness as a willing adult. You acknowledge that:

  • you are always in control of your own experience and may stop at any time
  • you are responsible for pacing your engagement with the material
  • the creators do not provide clinical aftercare or psychological integration services
  • this is an experiential offering, not a therapeutic relationship

4. Limitation of Liability (England and Wales)

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Anna Grear and Ralph Cree and any associated distributors shall not be liable for any psychological, emotional, somatic, or physical distress, or any indirect or consequential loss, arising from your use of the Audio Product.

In the event that liability is established, the creators’ total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to purchase or access the Audio Product.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraudulent misrepresentation, as provided under the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

5. Intellectual Property

All audio recordings, musical compositions, hypnotherapeutic scripts, spoken content, and written materials comprised in Sophosis are the intellectual property of Anna Grear and Ralph Cree.

SOPHOSIS — PRIVACY STATEMENT

This statement explains how Anna Grear and Ralph Cree (‘we’, ‘us’) collect, use, and protect your personal data when you purchase Sophosis: Solve et Coagula.

What we collect and why:

  • Identity and contact data (name, email): used to deliver your download link and purchase receipt
  • Payment data: processed securely by our third-party payment provider (e.g. Stripe or PayPal); we do not store or access your card details
  • Marketing data (optional): your email address, if you explicitly opt in at checkout, used only to notify you of future releases; unsubscribe at any time

Legal basis for processing: performance of contract (delivery of your purchase); consent (marketing communications only).

Data sharing: We do not sell or share your data except with essential service providers (hosting, digital delivery, payment processing) necessary to fulfil your order.

Retention: Transactional records are retained for six years in compliance with UK tax and accounting requirements. Marketing email addresses are held until you unsubscribe.
